THE 2020 Rockbourne Fair has been cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus situation.

The fair, enjoyed by thousands every year, was due to take place between Wednesday, October 14 and Friday, October 16.

It has now been rescheduled for October 13-15, 2021.

Bev Moulding, the chair of the organising committee, said: “It is with great sadness that we’ve had to cancel - like so many other events this year.

"However, we believe as a committee that it would be irresponsible to go ahead with the Fair at this time. We will be back next year, stronger and better than ever and are already planning some exciting new stalls and ideas for Rockbourne Fair 2021.”

Last year they raised over £50,000 for The Stars Appeal and aim to build on their success in 2021 when they return to Salisbury Racecourse.

The Rockbourne Fair attracts thousands of people from the South West of England each year with a unique boutique shopping experience of 100+ stalls.

It has been running for over 30 years, bringing the community together and helping support the local hospital.

All profits raised are donated to the Salisbury District Hospital’s Stars Appeal charity to fund extra care and equipment.
