A table top sale fundraiser will be taking place in Totton this weekend, raising money for the NHS on its 72nd anniversary.
From 10am until 1pm on Sunday July 5, residents in Huntingdon Close, Totton, will be hosting a socially distanced table top sale in their drives, with proceeds going to Southampton Hospitals Charity's Coronavirus Response Appeal.
Laury King is one resident taking part in the fundraiser and he has said that while "it's all well and good clapping", he felt it was important to do some sort of a collection.
He said: "We've got at least 10 households taking part, and we're hoping to raise money by doing collections and donating it to charity. It's al well and good clapping every Thursday but we thought we could do some sort of a collection. I'm looking froward to it and I'm hopeful that it all goes to plan. The weather is looking good for it!.
