KEY workers across Hampshire can benefit from a generous donation to a local pharmacy, which will help them reduce their stress levels and improve their sleep while they fight coronavirus on the frontline.

More than £6,000 worth of CBD oil has been donated to Wainwrights Pharmacy in Bishopstoke by Dragonfly Biosciences, in a bid to help the pharmacy raise funds for local charities.

The CBD oil is an over the counter food supplement that is commonly taken for sleep problems, stress, anxiety, chronic pain and tension headaches, many of which frontline workers may experience when fighting against the pandemic.

This oil will be exclusively available at the pharmacy for NHS and local key workers to purchase at a discounted price of £10 per bottle, with all money raised going to a variety of local, community charities in Southampton, Winchester and Andover.

Hannah Skingle, Chief Operating Officer at Dragonfly Biosciences said: “Given the current situation, it’s no wonder people are experiencing higher levels of stress, anxiety and tiredness and even more so as we ease out of lock down. We wanted to give a little back to NHS and key workers and with DragonflyCBD oil being helpful for periods of stress, helping us to relax and get a good night’s sleep we thought it could help support them in a small way.”

While the Dragonfly CBD oil retails for £25 per 10ml bottle, 244 bottles will be available to key workers for £10 each.

Sultan Dajani, Pharmacist and owner of Wainwright Pharmacy said; “We are very grateful to Dragonfly Biosciences for donating over £6,000 worth of DragonflyCBD oil to the pharmacy. I have certainly seen an increase in people asking me how to manage their anxiety levels and sleep troubles. And CBD oil is one recommendation I give them.

“Supporting NHS, key workers and community-based charites local to us here in Andover, Winchester and Southampton is very close to our hearts. We hope as a result of this initiative, we can aid local NHS and key workers ease some of their health and wellness troubles, while also helping local charities.”
