PLANS for a new two-bedroom home in Thornhill have been turned down by civic chiefs.
On May 7, an application was submitted to the Eastleigh Borough Council for the construction of a two-bedroom, detached bungalow on Kinsbounre Way in Thornhill.
It was proposed that an existing garage at number one Kinsbourne Way would be demolished to make room for the plans, but this proposal has been refused by the council.
When the decision was made on July 2, it was said that the proposed development would result in a "visually intrusive, unduly prominent and discordant" form of development within this section of Kinsbourne Way which would be at odds with and unacceptably harmful to the character of the area.
