A HAMPSHIRE man was "attacked with a crow bar" after finding someone in his shed at an address in North Baddesley.

At around 2.30am on Wednesday July 8, officers were called to an address in Rownhams Lane, North Baddesley, after receiving reports that a man had been assaulted while questioning a man who was in his shed.

It was reported by residents that offenders broke into the shed to steal power tools and a bike, and when the man disturbed them, he was "attacked with a crow bar" before the offenders fled the scene.

Officers attended the scene and their enquiries are ongoing, but couldn't confirm what object was used during the assault.

Now, anyone who witnessed the incident or has information is encouraged to come forward.

A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: "We were called just after 2.30am on Wednesday 8 July to a report of an assault at an address in Rownhams Lane, North Baddesley. It was reported a man had disturbed someone in his shed and had been hit over the head. Officers have attended the address and enquiries are ongoing.

"Anyone with information, or who may have CCTV footage or dash cam footage from the area around that time, which may assist our investigation can call 101, quoting 44200250618."
