A ROMSEY man has been banned from the roads after he failed to provide police with a breath sample.
Benjamin Peter Hollman was asked by traffic officers to provide a breath sample to determine whether had had committed a driving offence on March 25 last year in Romsey.
The 28-year-old previously used threatening and abusive words towards a man causing him to believe that violence would be used against him on February 18, 2019.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he pleaded not guilty but was found guilty of one count of using threatening and abusive language and pleaded guilty to one count of failing to provide a breath sample to police.
Hollman, of Berthon House, Romsey, was handed a community order and was disqualified from driving for 28 months.
He was fined £50 and also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £100
