A YOUTH charity is launching a recruitment push this week as it faces a rise in children and young people across Southampton needing support.

The campaign by No Limits is bringing new roles to its charity, in a bid to increase its capacity and continue providing help and advice.

Charity bosses have blamed the increased demand they are seeing in the city on the Covid-19 pandemic.

There are ten roles being brought to Southampton, including a Mental Health Lead, an Information and Advice Youth Worker and a Sexual Health Youth Worker.

No Limits CEO Natalie Webb said: “Covid-19 has impacted on children and young people far and wide.

"We need to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to process this event and is supported to re-enter life and the new normal.

“With help from its funders, No Limits aims to be there for any young person who needs support on any issue, however large or small.

“Our doors are beginning to open again, but we have always – and will continue to be – able to provide support remotely.

"If you feel you need someone to talk to, please get in touch.”

No Limits has provided support to over 2,000 young people throughout the lockdown through Zoom, webchat, email and telephone, after face-to-face services were paused.

It aims to support children and young people through multiple issues, such as alcohol, drugs and housing debts.
