THE city's first virtual jobs fair is set to go live this month.

Southampton City Council has joined forces with Southampton Job Centre Plus to host the online fair on July 29, from 10am to 4pm.

The event will connect recruiting employers with potential candidates in the local area, through the use of webinars and private one to one online discussions.

There will also be the opportunity to virtually meet employers for 5 minute 1-to-1 sessions where you can find out more about their vacancies and ask any questions.

Cabinet Member for Children and Learning, Councillor Darren Paffey, said: “The inaugural event will help job seekers, those currently unemployed, furloughed or being made redundant to engage in a meaningful way with recruiting employers in the Southampton, waterside area and Hythe area.”
