A MAN has been jailed after he assaulted two police officers in Southampton.
Daniel Bruce Corbett, 23, assaulted two police officers by beating and used threatening and abusive language towards one of them on January 7 at Southampton Central Police Station.
The court found the abusive language to be racially aggravated.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he pleaded guilty to two accounts of assaulting an emergency worker by beating and one count of using threatening and abusive language.
Corbett, of no fixed address, was committed to prison for 56 days and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £124.
