A MAN has been charged following the hunt for a man caught performing a sex act on a park bench.

A 55-year-old man from Totton has today been charged with Outraging Public Decency after a man was seen performing a sex act on a bench in War Memorial Park behind Totton Library.

On July 13, a man was seen performing a sex act while sat on a park bench in Totton War Memorial Park at around 6pm.

It was reported that the man was watching a yoga class that was taking place just meters away.

The man has been remanded into custody and appeared at court this morning.

In a post on Facebook, a spokesperson from Totton Police said: "We are now in a position to update you in relation to the arrest of a male after reports were received of a male masturbating in a park in Totton.

"A 55 year old male, from a Totton address, has been charged with Outraging public decency.

"He has been remanded into custody pending an appearance at court this morning."
