A 'MAJOR FUEL' spill closed a busy Hampshire road.
Diesel gushed across the junction of the Botley Road and Eastleigh Road in Fair Oak.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and a roadblock was put in place for around three hours last night.
Police were called and traffic officers cleaned up the spillage.
No one was injured and the route has since reopened.
A social media post from Eastleigh Police at the time said: "Tonight we have been dealing with a major fuel spillage on the junction of Botley Road, Winchester Road and Eastleigh Road in Fair Oak."
A police spokesperson added: "This was a diesel spillage. Police attended to assist with traffic control, however, Highways were involved in the cleanup.
"Road closures were in place for approximately 2-3 hours.
"No injuries occurred as a result of the spillage."
