A CAR has been dumped in the city centre after ploughing into a tree.
A silver Audi has been abandoned after smashing into a tree just off The Avenue.
Bits of debris are strewn around and the bonnet has caved in.
According to police, they were told about the incident by paramedics shortly before 8am.
No one has been reported as injured however the car has not been recovered.
It is being treated as a "road traffic incident" and not investigated as a crime.
A police spokesperson said: "We received a call at 7.48am this morning from our colleagues at South Central Ambulance Service who had come across an Audi that had collided with a tree on The Avenue, Southampton. No-one was with the vehicle. No injuries reported."
