POLICE say the death of a 32-year-old woman whose body was found at her Hampshire home is not being treated as suspicious.

Officers spent much of the weekend at a semi-detached house in Edward Drive, Fair Oak, after receiving an emergency call just before 6am on Saturday.

A  few hours later police confirmed that the body of a woman had been found in the house.

Forensics experts could be seen going in and out of the property at regular intervals as uniformed officers stood guard outside.

But the investigation has now been wound down following a post-mortem examination conducted earlier today.

A police spokesperson said: "The death is not being treated as suspicious. The scene at the property has been closed down."

However, an inquest could be held and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

People living in the quiet cul-de-sac woke up yesterday to find a line of police vehicles parked in the street.

One resident, who asked not to be named, said: "I saw a police van parked around the corner and six CID officers - four in one car and two in another."

Another neighbour added: "It's a horrible thing to wake up to on a Saturday morning."
