Audi ploughs into tree of The Avenue, Southampton
A MAN is due in court facing a drink driving charge following a city centre crash.
Billy-Joel Chapman was arrested and charged with drink driving following a crash on the night of Friday, July 24.
It comes after police were called to reports of a grey Audi Q3 which had ploughed into a tree off The Avenue.
The car remained at the scene for much of the weekend.
According to police no other vehicles were involved in the crash and no one was injured.
The crash happened at the junction of Dorset Street and The Avenue
Chapman, 20, of Middle Road in Southampton is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court on August 27.
