It's time to get out your BBQs as the weather in Salisbury is predicted to be hotter than the Canary Islands, with highs of 29C on Friday.

Areas will reach as high as 29C, as the city is set to bask beneath bright skies and warm sunshine.

According to Accuweather, Friday will be: "Very warm; [with] morning sunshine followed by sun and areas of high clouds."

While The Met Office said: "It will be sunny, changing to partly cloudly by nightime."

Residents will be pleased that the weather will improve over the course of this week. Tomorrow is going to reach 21C while Thursday will get hotter still at 25C.

And on Friday, the town will enjoy bright sunshine throughout the day for many, with the Met Office expecting a peak of 29C at 3pm.

The Canary Islands will see temperatures of around 25C over the weekend, making Salisbury at least 4C hotter.

Tenerife is set to have highs of 26C on Friday, according to the BBC - making Salisbury hotter.

Temperatures will still be warm in most areas over the weekend, although they’ll see a slight drop from Friday, before rain returns on Monday.
