DRUGS have been seized from a gang of youths gathering at a skatepark.
Police were called to Woodhouse Lane Skate Park in Hedge End after a complaint about youngsters using "foul and abusive language".
An officer seized a "small quantity of cannabis and a cannabis grinder" while on the scene last night.
A post on social media by police, said: "This evening PC Jon has been on proactive patrol to a number of hotspot areas.
"Whilst at Pavilion Road/Woodhouse Lane Skate Park, he was spoken to by a member of the public who has raised the issue for foul and abusive language coming from the young people in the skate park. PC Jon went over to speak to the young people.
"Long story short, the group of young people have been warned that their foul and abusive language could be a criminal matter, as they were in a public place with young children and other members of the public about and PC Jon has seized a small quantity of cannabis and a cannabis grinder.
Firefighters raced to a blaze at a skatepark in the early hours of June 18.
A crew from Botley Fire Station put out three burning fence panels.
Police initially reported the "fire in the open" to Hampshire Fire and Rescue Services (HFRS).
It came following complaints of anti-social behaviour by local residents.
Anyone who witnesses anti-social behaviour or crime is urged to report it to police by calling 101.
