THE coronavirus infection rate has risen in Southampton, with 17 cases in the week up to July 27.
The city saw rates increase to 6.7 new cases for every 100,000 residents, up from 2.4 with six new cases in the seven days to July 20.
But the latest figures released by Public Health England also show that rates in Test Valley have gone up to 3.2, from 0.8 before.
However, in Eastleigh, infection rates have decreased from 5.3 to 2.3, as well as New Forest, which went from 2.8 to 2.2 up to July 27.
In Fareham, rates have stayed the same, at 2.2 cases for every 100,000 residents.
Meanwhile, rates have gone down in Portsmouth from 1.9 to 1.4, and down to 0.8 in Winchester.
New data is released each week and shows how rates of positive coronavirus tests are changing in each area.
The figures show the rate of new cases in the seven days to July 27, and are based on tests carried out in laboratories and in the wider community.
The rate is expressed as the new number of new cases per 100,000 population.
