There have been no new coronavirus death recorded across all Hampshire hospitals in the past 24 hours.

It comes as England today (Friday) moves closer to 30,000 coronavirus-related deaths in hospitals.

Figures released by NHS England today show that amongst the new deaths recorded in the past 24 hours, none were at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester hospitals. This also means that there were no reported coronavirus deaths reported at the trust for the entire month of July.

No new deaths were recorded at Portsmouth Hospital, none was recorded at University Hospital Southampton and none at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust.

A further 9 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 29,338.

Patients were aged between 73 and 92 years old. All had known underlying health conditions apart from one (aged 75).
