A WINCHESTER High Street coffee shop looks to have closed and staff made redundant.
Starbucks has been shut since the lockdown in March and whilst other shops such as Costa have reopened, ten yards away on the other side of the precinct, Starbucks has remained in darkness.
A member of staff who emailed the Echo said: "The franchise in ownership of the Starbucks in Winchester High Street this morning announced its closure following the mandatory closure since Covid 19.
"The store closed its doors on 23rd March but has not since reopened.
"Staff were informed via Zoom call they would be made redundant."
Starbucks have been approached for comment.
Other establishments to shut for good in Winchester include River Cottage and the City Cobbler on the High Street.
