A SOUTHAMPTON man drink driving has been given a suspended sentence and banned from the roads for three years.

Jean-Luc Brasseur crashed into another vehicle at traffic lights in Bitterne Road West.

He was breathalysed and found to have 122 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on June 22 this year.

The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

Pleading guilty at Southampton Magistrates' Court on Wednesday he was given a six-week sentence suspended for 12 months.

He has been disqualified from driving for three years and ordered to pay £122 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
