OFFICERS are urging residents not to hide anything in their boot as they "never know who is watching" them.

It comes after police carried out crime prevention patrols across the New Forest on Thursday.

They wrote on social media: "Remember never leave anything valuable in your vehicle if you leave it unattended and don't hide anything in the boot because you never know who is watching you."

They visited car parks, travelled across Nursling and Totton, and stopped a car being driven by a man without a driving licence and insurance.

He has been ordered to attend court.
