FORT Nelson is set to reopen this month1.
Royal Armouries at Fort Nelson, in Fareham, will be reopening on August 11 following a five-month closure.
The Victorian fort will have new measures in place to ensure visitor safety and the cafe will be takeaway.
Dr Edward Impey, Director General & Master of the Armouries said: “Visitors are the lifeblood of Fort Nelson and we are thrilled to welcome them back to this incredible piece of Britain’s defensive history.
"People choose to visit the Royal Armouries at Fort Nelson for a wide variety of reasons, some drawn by the chance to find out more about the Fort’s history, some wanting to explore the ramparts, defences and tunnels and others wanting to see the nation’s greatest artillery treasures up close.”
