A MARINE unit is on the hunt for the owner of a stolen jet ski, after discovering the boat on a Hampshire river.

Hants Marine Unit recovered the jet ski from the River Hamble on Monday, which was located on the foreshore at Netley.

They reported at 3.41pm that a YAM 310S tender with a 9.8hp Tohatsu engine was left at the "scene of the crime".

The unit added that they need to identify an owner.

A Hants Marine Unit spokesperson told the Daily Echo: "The tender was left behind after the jet ski was stolen. We believe the tender was used to get to where the jet ski was."
