A 94-YEAR-old military veteran is to get on his exercise bike and pedal to raise pounds for a charity close to his heart.

Bunny Ennis will take on the challenge alongside staff at Ennis & Co based in Winchester, founded by his daughter Lynda.

From Monday (August 3) till August 9 Bunny will cycle each day, and for every kilometre he completes the Ennis & Co team will double this in their own preferred method of exercise.

All money raised will be donated to The Not Forgotten which combats the causes of isolation and loneliness for the injured and disabled Armed Forces community through social activities and challenges.

Lynda Ennis said: “The Not Forgotten holds a special place in my family’s hearts and so I am delighted to support the charity during its centenary year. I feel that this fundraiser is particularly relevant during the current time, as the Covid-19 situation has brought to light just how isolated some of our loved ones can feel. The Not Forgotten has contributed so much for our country’s veterans and I hope that this fantastic fundraising event will help give the charity the recognition it so deserves.

“The Ennis & Co team is like a family and while we are unable to fundraise together currently, we will be motivating one another throughout this challenge and will try our very bests to do both The Not Forgotten and Bunny proud.”

Not only does Bunny hope to raise funds for charity, but he wants this to help those who are shielding from Covid-19 and also spread some much-needed positivity.
