POLICE are asking for help in finding a man whose jet-ski was found drifting in the sea off Hampshire.

Elezaj Shkelzen, 33, from Oxfordshire, was last seen leaving Lymington for Langstone Harbour on Tuesday at 6pm.

Two hours later coastguards found his jet-ski off Stokes Bay, Gosport.

A police spokesman said; "His friends and family are understandably concerned for his welfare.

"We and our colleagues in the coastguard have been making enquiries over the last few days but are now turning to you for your help.

"We appreciate the image isn't very clear, but we are hoping you will be able to help."

Elezaj was wearing a light grey and white hoody, dark Adidas shorts and a camouflage waterproof jacket. He may have had an orange lifejacket with him.

The police spokesman added: "We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw a jet-ski being ridden in the Solent between Milford on Sea and Stokes Bay."

As reported in the Daily Echo a white and burgundy Yamaha Waverunner jet-ski with a 201 Langstone Harbour sticker on the side was found on Tuesday evening.

The discovery sparked an air and sea search involving lifeboats, a helicopter and a coastguard rescue team.

Speaking at the time a spokesperson for Langstone Harbour said: "A member of LHB staff has been in contact with the coastguard and we all hope the owner of the PWC is found safe and well soon."

Anyone who sees him, or may have seen him since 6pm on Tuesday, can call police on 101, quoting incident number 44200293979.
