A DRIVER trapped inside a car after a crash involving "excess speed" had to be removed by firefighters.
Police, ambulance and two fire crews rushed to the scene last night, where a collision had taken place on Lyndhurst Road, Beaulieu.
The driver, who was injured, was extricated out through the back of the car following the crash, which happened at 10.56pm on Thursday night.
Firefighters said the crash involved speeding and alcohol.
Beaulieu Fire Station wrote on social media: "Two combinations of excess speed and alcohol can have potentially fatal consequences."
