POLICE were rushed to an incident on a Southampton road last night.
Around four police cars and vans were seen at Warren Avenue, in Shirley, just before 4pm on Tuesday.
One witness said there was a front door kicked in, and that they saw "windows smashed and blood on the floor" along the road.
While a father living on the road said: "The man smashed all the downstairs windows at a home and was running along Warren Avenue covered in blood, with a stick the size of a baseball bat.
"To be honest, we are scared to live in this area. My 14-year-old daughter is afraid to stay at home on her own and doesn’t feel safe."
Others said they saw a large police presence during the incident.
