The body of a man was discovered in Sherborne, Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: "We were called at 11.05am today, 12 August, after a 57-year-old man was found deceased in the woodland off of Aldermaston Road, Sherborne St John.
"His next of kin have been informed and are being supported.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner."
An ambulance from South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) was also seen landing in Morgaston woods.
Residents earlier took to community sites online to get to the bottom of what was going on.
One person wrote: "I drove past about an hour ago and there were so many Police and Ambulances and officers walking in and around the field. It was just a shock to see so many all in one place with no obvious reason why."
