THIS morning at 8 o'clock I parked my car in the first available parking space at the Coronation Parade in Hamble.

Ahead of me was a single disabled space and behind me were several vacant normal parking spaces.

I had just got back into the car when a white BMW pulled into the disabled space and another BMW parked in front of him, half on the pavement and half over double yellow lines.

Two 'lads' (in their late 20s) emerged and walked into the convenience store, without masks and bought some cigarettes.

I very much doubt that they would be classified as exempt.

The only member of staff that I had seen in the store was a middle-aged lady and so the sign outside saying 'No Mask, No Entry' was redundant.

Mr Johnson and his crew in Downing Street may talk about pulling together but there is a generation that doesn't care about the rules.

I shall be particularly upset if in a few weeks time my urgent shoulder operation is cancelled for the 5th time because there is a local spike.
