A DRIVER has been fined for speeding on Maybray King Way in Southampton, but spared a ban because of the health of his partner.
Daniel Lucien Andronic, 28, of Cobbett Road, Bitterne, was recorded doing 35mph on the dual carriageway which has a 30mph limit, on September 14 last year.
Andronic could have been disqualified because the penalty points went over the threshold but Basingstoke Magistrates Court said there were mitigating circumstances, notably the health of his partner and her transport requirements.
He was fined £150, with a £32 victim surcharge, £85 costs and three penalty points were added to his driving licence.
