AT THE churchyard in Udenhout, Netherlands, three British soldiers are buried who were killed around Udenhout during the fighting in October 1944.

One of the soldiers is Reginald Frederick Blackmore of 11th Hussars, Royal Armed Corps, service number 2572632 who died on October 28, 1944.

He was born on July 15, 1918, son of William Blackmore and Letitia (Nee Vokes) Blackmore of 11 Birmingham Street, Southampton.

He was brother of Dorothy (1913), William (1915), Leslie(1921) and Myrtle (1922).

His mother remarried George Radford and died in 1975.

I am writing a book on those soldiers, and therefore I am interested in their background.

In our town little is known about the soldiers.

Therefore, I am searching for relatives of Reginald Blackmore, who can give me more information.

If you have any information on Reginald Blackmore, please contact me at: Frank de Hommel, Mortelhof 2, 5071 AA Udenhout, Netherlands.
