A CARELESS driver has been thumped with a fine and a ban after causing a crash at a junction.
Rafal Andrzej Krasinski, 29, of Vaudrey Close, Shirley, Southampton, drove his 67-reg Renault Master van into the back of another vehicle waiting to turn right on Romsey Road, King's Somborne, on July 31 last year.
Basingstoke Magistrates Court was told that "significant damage" was caused to both vehicles.
Krasinski was not present in court and the case was proved in his absence.
Magistrates fined him £440, with a £44 victim surcharge and £85 costs, totalling £569. He was disqualified from driving for six months.
