SOUTHAMPTON and other parts of Hampshire have increases in Covid-19 cases in the past week.
In Southampton infection rates have risen from 4.8 new cases for every 100,000 residents to 5.1, according to new figures from Public Health England.
Other parts of Hampshire have also seen increases.
One of the biggest increases has been recorded in the New Forest, where the figure rose from 3.3 to 8.3 in the seven days to August 23.

The rise was even steeper in Gosport, which went from 1.2 to 8.3. Winchester also saw a jump - from 1.6 to 5.6.
But other parts of the county recorded a decrease.
Test Valley went from 5.5 to 4.0, Eastleigh saw its figure drop from 5.2 to 3.0 and Fareham went from 6.9 to 2.6.
New data is released each week and shows how rates of positive coronavirus tests are changing in each area. The tests are carried out both in laboratories and in the wider community.
The rate is expressed as the new number of new cases per 100,000 population.
