A POLICE car has been damaged after a youth on a 'stolen' moped threw something at the windscreen.
An officer was called to Coxford Road, Southampton, yesterday evening to assist a vulnerable victim of an assault.
While parked on the side of the road, a youth of a suspected stolen moped damaged the windscreen, forcing the vehicle to now be off the road.
In a post of Facebook, a spokesperson from Southampton Cops said: "Officer dealing with a vulnerable victim of an assault on Coxford Road this evening.
"Whilst the patrol car was parked on the road the rider of a suspected stolen moped caused damage to the windscreen.
"Vehicle off the road and officers unable to attend emergency calls."
