RESCUE teams raced to save a woman stuck in mud.
Emergency services scrambled to rescue a woman stuck in mud near to Calshot Activity Centre.
According to a witness, the woman had been kayaking but got stranded as the tide went out.
“Several emergency rescue vehicles were involved” and inflatable pontoons had to be used to reach the distressed kayaker.
After receiving a call at around 3.30pm yesterday crews from Hardley, Redbridge and Fareham Fire Stations rushed to the scene.
Helped by Hillhead Coastguard the woman was pulled to safety at 4.29pm.
She was treated by paramedics on the scene.
