A POLICE helicopter swooped over Southampton as part of a police chase.
Officers rushed to a home in Burgoyne Road following reports of a domestic incident at around 1.30pm on Tuesday.
But on arrival, a man made off in a car.
A National Police Air Service helicopter was launched over the city to track him down in connection with a common assault.
Residents reported it hovering above Sholing for much of the afternoon.
However, the man was arrested near Botany Bay Road after being located by officers on the ground at around 2.30pm the same afternoon.
