A SOUTHAMPTON woman has had her household bills paid for three months thanks to a Daily Echo competition.

Paula Starks from Thornhill has won £2,000 to cover her household bills as part of a competition run in the Daily Echo.

The competition was run as the Government began to ease lockdown restrictions, and as chance to take away the pressure of household expenditures, the Daily Echo ran a competition to win £2,000 to cover bills.

Paula said the news of her winning the competition "could not have come at a better time".

To enter, Paula collected four out of five token in Daily Echo editions and was entered into a prize draw.

Finding out she has won the competition, Paula said: "I am so happy to have won this prize, thank you so much, it could not have come at a better time when things are so tough, the cooker is on its last legs so hopefully get a new one.

"This really is fantastic."
