Two kayakers have been airlifted to safety in a helicopter rescue operation.
A man and women were scooped from mud in Lymington Marshes almost a mile from the shore.
Stranded on a single kayak the two became stuck at around 4.15pm on Wednesday when the tide went out.
The Lymington lifeboat, Lymington Coastguard and Hillhead Coastguard teams were all scrambled to rescue the duo.
However, due to "distance and conditions" a Coastguard helicopter was needed to winch them to safety.
Once on dry land, they were treated by paramedics with the aircraft crew returning to base at around 6.30pm
