TWO teenagers were arrested after a car crashed into parked cars and sped off from police in a residential road.
Officers approached the driver of a BMW at Summit Way in Southampton, but the car speedily drove off in reverse and crashed into two parked cars.
A short time later, a car matching the description was stopped by officers in a police car.
It is believed that two people ran off and two were detained at the scene.
Details of the incident, which happened on Friday September 4 at 10pm, were released by police last night.
Six police cars were seen at River Walk and Forest Hills Drive, while a helicopter circled the area.
Two people were arrested, including a 17-year-old male and a 19-year-old male both from Southampton.
They were arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without consent.
The 17-year-old was later released without charge and the 19-year-old has been released on bail until October 2 while enquiries continue.
