A VAN has been completely destroyed after bursting into flames on a busy Southampton road.
Emergency services raced to Millbrook Road West after a blue Mercedes van burst into flames at around 12.40pm today.
Millbrook Road outbound near junction with Regents Park, vehicle fire has been extinguished and traffic is passing in both directions. Inside lane outbound remains closed.

Firefighters from Redbridge Fire Station were on the scene to tackle the blaze.
However, the van was 100 per cent damaged, according to Hampshire Fire and Rescue Services.
Meanwhile, the inside lane of the carriageway from the city centre was closed as a safety precaution.

The fire has since been put out and no injuries have been reported.
Millbrook Road has now been reopened.
A police spokesperson said: "We were called at 12.41pm today to reports of a vehicle fire on Millbrook Road, Southampton.
"A road closure was put in place for safety and to enable HFRS to deal with this incident. No injuries were reported. Police have now left the scene."
A spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Services added: "One fire engine from Redbridge was mobilised at 12.40pm today to Mountbatten Way in Southampton.
"A van was on fire on the highway.
"The vehicle was 100 per cent damaged by fire and extinguished using two breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets."
The stop message came in at 1.35pm.
