A FOOD store in Eastleigh has donated £250 to a local junior school.
The cheque was presented by staff of the Co-op food store on Fair Oak Road to Stoke Park Junior School this week as part of the stores Community Donation Fund.
Causes local to the store can apply for up to £250 worth of stock or a cheque with the focus being on spaces, wellbeing and skills.
Mrs Caroline Grist, acting deputy head teacher at the school said: “We were delighted with the cheque and in the current climate it is really gratefully received.
“We are hoping to put it towards some playground equipment.
“The children who came to receive the cheque really enjoyed the presentation too.”
