A new children's play area has opened in West End.
The play area has been installed at Hatch Farm and has been supported by West End Parish Council and Hatch Farm Working Group.
The new site is aimed at children up to 12 years of age and centres around a multiactivity unit that includes a tunnel slide together, caterpillar and snail spring riders, a buddy board and a disability accessible roundabout.
It has been funded from financial contributions by the developers of The Willows housing scheme and was installed by Vita Play Limited, a company based in Winchester.
Chair of Hedge End West End & Botley Local Area Committee Cllr Cynthia Garton said: "We are really pleased to invest in these new play facilities for this area.
"This new play equipment will, for the first time, provide local children in the area with the chance to enjoy a range of play equipment in a safe environment which also encourages them to keep active."
