Masked raiders have attacked a woman in her own home.

A 29-year-old woman was left with a cut to her face after two men broke into her house.

They stole cash during an aggravated burglary in West End Road between 10am and 11am on Friday.

A man wearing a blue surgical mask had called at the woman's house, claiming to be from the electric board and he was there to read the meter.

When he entered he was followed by another man.

Once inside both men donned balaclavas.

After snatching cash they then fled the scene.

The first man is described as between 45 and 55-years-old, white, approximately 5ft 11ins and fat.

He had grey hair, was wearing dark clothing and had a photo ID lanyard.

He was also carrying a bag.

Meanwhile, the second man is described as over 5ft 11ins, black with a muscular build and bald.
