Citizens Advice in Eastleigh have been helping residents with a huge range of issues since lockdown.

As a result of the pandemic, the advice services top issues recently have been redundancy, furlough, pay and entitlements, having helped 264 people with 544 issues since lockdown.

Annabella Crawford Chief Officer of Citizens Advice Eastleigh, said: "We have helped people with a huge range of issues since lockdown, but we know that as the furlough scheme draws to an end, lots of people may be feeling worried and need advice.

"If you’re at risk of redundancy, it’s important to know you do have rights to help protect you from unfair dismissal and to ensure you’re paid what you’re owed.

"It’s completely understandable that you may find the rules and procedures overwhelming, but you don’t have to face redundancy alone.”

The Eastleigh charity has highlighted the main information people need to check if they're at risk of redundancy.

These include checking the the redundancy is fair, checking how much pay you get, checking your notice period and holiday pay, as well as checking if you have got legal help as part of your home insurance.

Citizens Advice Eastleigh is open Monday to Friday 10am - 4pm and urge people to call if they need information or advice.
