Changes are to be made to parking in Eastleigh following a meeting on Thursday.
Following an Eastleigh Borough Council Cabinet meeting, changes to parking in Eastleigh have been agreed including a 'buy one hour get one hour free' offer for all pay and siaplay car parks in the town centre when a ticket is purchsed using RingGO, the contactless payment system.
This will initially be for the period until 1 January 2021.
There will also be a removal of the 3 hour tariff at Wells Place Car Park to encourage more people parking for short stays.
These changes come after recommendations from the Eastleigh Local Area Committee at a meeting on Tuesday.
It is hoped that as these changes come in, more people will be encouraged to visit the town centre.
