POLICE have made a fresh appeal for witnesses after a pensioner was killed in an accident on a Hampshire road.

An 86-year-old man was fatally injured in a collision between a black Ford Ranger and blue Nissan Micra.

The crash happened in Petersfield on the B2070 London Road near to the junction of the A272 just after 4pm on Thursday.

The man driving the Micra was pronounced dead at the scene.

Today a police spokesman said: "Officers remain keen to speak with anyone with information about a collision on Thursday.

"We are today making a further appeal for anyone who had followed the blue Nissan Micra as it drove along London Road around 4pm on September 17, or who may have overtaken it and a second vehicle that it was following in the moments prior to the collision."
