FOUR positive coronavirus cases were reported in Test Valley last week.

Data released by the government shows that between Monday, September 14, and Saturday, September 19, only four people tested positive in the borough.

The four new cases in Test Valley takes the total up to 579 - an infection rate of 458.9.

This comes after a Romsey community leader warned the UK could go into a second lockdown if the public continues to "be complacent" towards coronavirus rules.

Cllr Dorothy Baverstock, who represents Romsey Cupernham on Test Valley Borough Council (TVBC), urged the public to stick to the rules until a vaccine is rolled out to eradicate coronavirus.

This comes as health secretary Matt Hancock has warned of a "tipping point" as he fails to rule out a second national lockdown in the UK if people don't follows the rules.
