FIREFIGHTERS from Oswestry spent the early hours of Wednesday morning tackling a large biomass fire in the town.
The incident was reported at 4.20am in Maesbury Road at the Mile Oak Industrial Estate.
Crews from Oswestry and Ellesmere were dispatched to tackle the blaze, as well as the operations and hazmat officers.
Hosereel jets, breathing apparatus and thermal imaging cameras were used to tackle the fire, which involved around two tonnes of biomass product.
Firefighters were on the scene until around 7am.
