A number of restaurants in Southampton have extended their offers of up to 50% off following the success of the government's Eat Out To Help Out scheme.

Visit Southampton have published a list of restaurants in the city that have extended their offers into September.

The Eat Out To Help Out scheme allowed customers all over the country to save up to £10 per person Monday to Wednesday when dining out in August.

Though the scheme has now ended, several businesses in Southampton are continuing to offer customers up to 50% off their meal.

Restaurants in Southampton still offering up to half price off include:

  • Dhaba 59 
  • Piecarumba
  • Popsi’s
  • Soleto

On their website, Visit Southampton said: “Although Southampton may look a little different it’s still the same at heart with a wide range of food and drink offerings to suit all tastes ranging from our independents to your well-loved chains.”

GO! Southampton, in partnership with Southampton City Council, used the Visit Southampton website to promote Eat Out To Help Out offers and the city’s ‘We’ve Missed You SO Much’ campaign, which aims to welcome people back to Southampton safely.

Giles Semper, Executive Director at GO! Southampton, said: “The Covid-19 pandemic has put huge pressure on hospitality businesses in Southampton and the Eat Out To Help Out scheme was vital to help encourage people to start dining out again.

“We applaud those who are now being proactive and effectively extending their offers into September, which we hope will have a positive impact on trading, and we‘re pleased to promote these continued discounts via our Visit Southampton channels.”
