TWO people arrested following a "shooting" outside a Southampton post office have been released.
A 17-year-old boy from Bournemouth and a 25-year-old man from Derby were arrested in connection with an alleged shooting in Shirley Avenue.
A 57-year-old from Southampton was reported to have been shot after leaving Shirley Post Office on Wednesday morning.
The 25-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm in a public place, Section 18 GBH, having an imitation firearm with intent to use it and possession of Class B drugs – cannabis.
Meanwhile, the 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 GBH, possession of an imitation firearm in a public place and the possession of cannabis.
According to police, both men have since been released under investigation.
